Rhonda Goldman, phd
Rhonda N. Goldman, PhD, is a professor of Clinical Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and runs a private practice institute, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Chicago, where she works with both individuals and couples. She has taught and trained, practiced, and been active in scholarship, related to Emotion-focused therapy for the past thirty years. In addition to conducting research, and producing articles and book chapters on EFT-related topics, she has co-authored or co-edited six texts on emotion-focused therapy including Learning Emotion-Focused Therapy (2004), Case Studies in Emotion-Focused Treatment of Depression (2007), Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy: The Dynamics of Emotion, Love, and Power (2008), Case Formulation in Emotion-Focused Therapy: Co-creating Clinical Maps for Change (2015), the Clinical Handbook of Emotion-Focused Therapy (2019) and most recently, Deliberate Practice in Emotion-Focused Therapy (2021). Dr. Goldman conducts workshops on emotion-focused therapy for both couples and individuals in countries throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia. In addition, she practices, teaches, and conducts research on emotional processes and outcomes in couples and individual therapy and has written numerous articles and book chapters on an array of other topics such as empathy, vulnerability, depression, and case formulation. Dr. Goldman is currently, co-editor of the Journal, Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies. She is a founding board member, along with Leslie Greenberg, Robert Elliott, Jeanne Watson, and Sandra Pavio, of the International Society for Emotion-Focused Therapy (iseft.org). She is the recipient of the 2011 Carmi Harari Early Career Award from Division 32, the Society of Humanistic Psychology of the American Psychological Association and the past-president of the Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration (SEPI).
Whitney Tschan, psyd
Whitney Tschan, Psy.D. is an EFT therapist in private practice at Northwest Behavioral Health Services and an independent provider at Northwest Community Hospital where she works with individuals, families and couples. Dr. Tschan has a particular interest as well as experience applying EFT in the treatment of eating disorders for both individuals and families.
Eileen McCarten, ms, lcpc
Eileen McCarten, MS, LCPC, is an EFT therapist in private practice in Rockford, Illinois. Eileen is founder and director of Family Matters PACT, which provides a continuum of quality social, educational and counseling services. In addition to her counseling work, Eileen is a mediator and educator and creator of PACT, CoParent Training, and various online educational programs for separating and divorcing parents.
